Lithops vallis-mariae 'Orange Peel' has been bred by the founder of Oz Lithops over a period of 8 years from C166 and C167 (both vallis-mariae) plants that were showing slightly "orange" colouring. The Name 'Orange Peel' was coined by Keith Green, International Registrar for Cultivated Lithops and is given for the orange colouring combined with the dimpled pattern typical of vallis-mariae. The new cultivar had been published electronically in the ACT CSS newsletter and will appear in the MSG Journal and the International Register shortly. Visit www.scrapbooklithops.com to see the complete list of registered and rejected cultivars.
